Peridot, Moonstone & Spinel
● Peridot is one of the very few gemstones that forms deep within the Earth’s mantle, rather than in the crust like most other gems. It takes extreme heat and pressure to create it, which happens far beneath the surface. Peridot reaches the Earth’s surface through volcanic activity, carried upward in molten rock during eruptions.
● Moonstone gets its name from its beautiful shimmering effect known as adularescence, which looks like soft moonlight gliding across the surface. Thanks to its unique internal structure, moonstone appears to change color or glow as the light hits it from different angles.
● Unlike many gemstones that require heat treatment or other enhancements to bring out their best color and clarity, high-quality Spinels are naturally vibrant just as they are found in the earth. This means that the intense reds, bright pinks, deep purples, and electric blues seen in Spinel are often 100% untreated
